Cobalts and Saturns were recalled because of a fuel tank leak.

GM recalls 40,859 cars for possible fuel leaks

An HHR is basically a Cobalt. GM tried to deny this in the steering motor debacle. I'd contact GM directly.

You could be correct BUT I think someone, a long time ago with a different problem, discovered the Cobalt and the HHR had 2 different gas tanks, 2 different shapes, 2 different part numbers and MAYBE, 2 different manufacturers.
