Oil leak

Today decided to top off with coolant and noticed a sling pattern near the bottom of the car. So i crawled underneath to check it out and the passenger side of the car is coated from the axle forward and upward. Any ideas what is leaking? Because of the placement of the engine mount, I cannot see downward and it is oil as far as I can see upward. Belt tensioner is completely coated in oil as well as the belt and accessories, which explains the sling pattern. Oil on dipstick is normal as of now.

Lucky for me I am moving from Texas to Michigan in 20 sum odd days...heck of a time to realize there is a leak.

If it's motor oil, my guess is the chain cover-harmonic balancer seal.

If it's ATF, my guess is the axle seal.

If it's grease, my guess is CV boot.

I'm guessing front crank seal. I would wash it down and recheck for leaks.

Years ago when we had a hard to find leak we would wash the area clean and blow baby powder on the area with a low psi blow gun.

Then run the engine. The baby powder will show even the smallest leak.

X2 on the baby powder trick (also handy for tracking water leaks).

I will get the airbox off tomorrow morning and see what I can see. From what I can tell right now, it is coming from the top side down, and about mid to rear of top side. The engine mount up top splits the engine is just about half, and from there forward up top is clean. Perhaps the airbox will allow me to see a little better. Updates coming tomorrow.
