Radio and chimes don't work

Question:
I too had a problem withy Chevy HHR 2006.
The battery goes dead occasionally only after 10-15min. Got it jumped and the radio and chimes don't work any more. Changed fuse. Checked under hood fuses. Checked battery and alternator but no success. Can anyone help?

Welcome to the site. I have been a Blackhawks fan for over 25 years. Have you tried disconnecting the battery? There is two fuse panels, one is under the front passenger foot area.

Hi
Yes I took the battery out and let it sit for a while. I also have checked both fuse boxes. I had the battery checked and it was good. Now I am confused about what to do next.

If you can get to the back of the radio, I would use a voltage pick to see if it's getting power. Of course, I would assure power is to the fuses, the same way (first).

I think you MAY have a blown amp....this could help. Might be just a bad connection at the radio.

Thanks for all of the help. I would have to take the panel off to get to the radio. Tisk tisk.
I thought it would be an easy fix.

Thank you all for all your help. I have just settled with the fact that it won't work. Took it to the dealer and spent 100bucks just for them to tell me that they have to run more tests which costs more money. NOT!!!!! I will update you all if I find out anything new. ThAnks again.
