Reduced engine power code/engine light
I was had a mechanic replace the transmission control module on my 2007 HHR because had engine power loss and would not drive correctly. He said he checked the wiring and was sure this would fix the problem. Needless to say it fixed the problem for about 2 months and now I'm in the same position and my vehicle is messing up again. Can anyone help or have some idea what to check next.

Or scoot by your local auto parts store, almost all of them will pull trouble codes for free and give you a printout.
One note on auto parts store code scanners, not all of them can pull TCM related codes, but it may be an unrelated issue acting like the first problem.

Ok Guys I went to Autozone this evening and these are the 2 codes that came up.
1. P2135
Throttle position sensor: TPS 1 and TPS 2 disagree more than 4.5% for less then 1 second-- probable cause 1 poor electrical connection. 2. Failed TPS
2.P2176
AAP sensor 1 and APP sensor 2 signal voltage fault. Signal 1 and signal 2 do not agree. 1 Poor electrical connection 2. Failed APP sensor.
Keep in mind that I drove it today and the check engine light was on but it drove perfectly. I then took it to autozone and it began giving me trouble when I tried to leave for home. I hope someone can give me insight on what to attempt first. I'm by no means a mechanic but I will take it to someone that can work on cars if it's not an easy fix. Thanks in advance.

Next step is to put those codes into the search box and explore the provided links. Step after that is to put those codes into a Google search and follow a few links.
Usually the cause is a bad connector or frayed wire.
