Thumbs up Remote Start Battery

Has anyone had to replace the battery in their remote start yet? If so where do you get the batteries

Thanks
Glenn

Do you mean the key fob battery? Look on the back of the key fob, the battery is a CR2032. You can buy them pretty much anywhere that sells watch batteries. Try your local drug store, convience store, grocery store, or places like Walmart and Target.

Is just changing the battery enough? Does it need to be reprogramed?

I just checked the owners manual and it doesn't mention anything about reprogramming, so I would presume it's plug and play of sorts. It also says the battery should last 4 years too....but I would think that would depend on how often it's used.

take apart fob
take out battery
put in new battery
push fob together

point at car
push button needed
LOL,,, had to say that

i use a pearing knife which has a very thin blade to get it apart. slide the edge in and pry carefully with the sharp edge of the blade

pry the back off so where the back is up and it just pops off.
slide battery out and change it

with the back up, lay in the cradle where it came from, ease back down and then push till sealed
