Question 2009 chevy hhr
I have a 2009 Chevy hhr. It is running hot( very bad) and the heater has. Stopped working. What do you think is the problem?

My first guess would be stuck thermostat, closed at that. But since your heat isn't working, does that mean no heat or fan not blowing?

those two symptoms sounds like a waterpump...but a thermostat stuck closed would mimic a broken waterpump

how many miles on it? I think thermostat and water pump are covered under the 5/100 warranty. But check the coolant level first.
