Can anyone tell me if this is normal? I changed my clutch, serpentine belt, starter motor, injector o-rings, brake fluid, clutch fluid, coolant fluid, oil change and axle seals. My problem is I'm experiencing electrical issues. No trouble codes, just a short. The short not too sure of where. Cleaned all grounds from motor location, checked battery, starter motor, all fine. Injectors and spark plugs are fine. I'm using power probe 3 as well as ECT 2000. For some reason engine wants to turn over but ends up blowing 60 amp cartridge fuse. When this happens power steering and low fuel show up on cluster display. On ECM a pin is missing from both harness and ECM, wide pin on number 2 harness. As if it were cut out.

Need some better info. Car,year,engine. Was the car running OK before you did this work? Have you had any previous electrical problems/repairs.?

2007 2lt according to his profile. And no, of course it is not normal. As already noted - more info needed. Was all the work done in one go, or in stages where the car was working ok between the projects?

First step would be to go and recheck any connectors that were undone, and also check for any wires/harnesses that might have gotten pinched while doing the work.

Yes, vehicle was running prior. It's a 2007 2.4l LT 5 spd. All work was performed at the same time. Since I was changing the clutch. I figured I'd see what needs some tlc.

Sounds sort of like my 2006. I thought it was the battery but a new one doesn't help. I am in the process of pulling the alternator. But it smells and acts like a short. It goes dead and has no apparent power. The battery saver and check charging system come on, and now it won't run because something is pulling the battery down FAST!
