My factory links have 190K on them, no play at all.

Yep, mine started making noise right after 45k. The Moog units are heavier, but I can see where they probably won't last more than that.

To be fair, it's not typical of just the HHR. A google search for sway bar end link noise will get you more than a handful of brands that all experience this problem.

Doug, you are correct, common problem on many cars, but some are worse than others... The HHR is one that it is a VERY common problem on.
