Torque converter not locking up

I have an 06 2LT with 2.4 approx. 120K, and auto, Friday, it started when you pull away from a dead stop, not hard accelerating, but, the trans feels like a manual when the clutch slips. Anyone else had this? What was it and what did you do?

To start that is not the torque converter not locking up. The torque converter locks up when cruising.

My advice is to go to a trans shop and ask for a test drive. I would hope that just a fluid change would fix it, But I doubt it.

X2 on donbrews post.

Fwiw. Sorry, but if it's slipping at a takeoff, that's generally not a good sign. Be prepared for a costly diagnosis.

I'd start searching EBay for a used replacement just in case.
