No, but there are a couple of MCS that were causing me grief. There's always one car that does it...

Excess weight is pretty hard to overcome in autocross, unless you have a big power advantage and a course that lets you use it. Locally, it seems that courses are designed to keep Corvettes from winning everything, and smaller, nimbler cars always do well. There's a Lotus Elise that is amazing, and is technically in the same class as the C5 Corvettes, but they have NO chance against it. I don't take it too seriously, or I would buy a Mini, or Miata, or Lotus myself...

Was wondering if it was my nephew, who is quite competitive up there in Michigan.

Yeah and I think you're correct about the weight advantage. Aren't the Minis about 2500-2600#?
