Beat 15 of them

First autocross for my 08 panel. Finished 52 of 67 and 3rd in class behind a couple of ford fiesta st's Not a lot of "stock" cars-mostly prepared hondas, subarus, bmws, etc. Beat 2 hondas, one camaro, one mustang, an elantra and a genesis among others. Mine is stock 08 lt panel 2.4 auto, only mods mostly cosmetic but did swap in cobalt disc brake rear axle and put on ss 18" wheels. All in all not bad for the tallest vehicle there.

Your HHR looks great. Are you using all seasons or do you have good rubber?

hhrfreak it rides on bfg g-Force Sport COMP-2 tires in the stock ss size 225/45-18
good handling tire no sidewall roll at 44lbs psi for autocross we will see what kind of mileage we get as a daily driver

Good showing mctent!

I usually run mid pack in the standings with Paddy the '07, but your 4.8 mpg just blows my "best" worst autocross mileage of 6.9 mpg right outta the water. My personal favorite victims are the "know it all, done it all, ain't no car better than mine" Miata drivers, seeing an HHR hustle just gets their underwear in a twist.

Now fix yourself up with a TTR rear swaybar, drop the keister an inch or so with different springs, and free up the intake and exhaust for better breathing. Then open a can of Delta-Platform whoop*** on those pesky ST's and Beemers.

Set up properly, they do pretty well. My '09 was on Fe5's with pedders, and the same BFG's you're running, but a 245/40/18(You'd be surprised the difference that 20mm makes). Although I was just runing novice at the time, I was also running about mid pack, beating severeal cars that, on paper, should have whooped the hell out of me.

I recently drove a friends car('10 Cobalt SS/TC) that is on 255/35/17 Hankook Ventus RS-3's, Powell YYZ's with xxx bar, and Koni Yellow's. Man did that thing stick. It had so much lift throttle oversteer compared to my Cobalt that I almost spun it. He ended up being somwhere around 12th fastest overall out of about 110 people.
