It's FRIDAY! Going Racing?
OK last week a civic ruined the track, and the week before it rained. I'm stoked, unless all hell breaks loose, I'm dragging tonight. I've been itching since October!
Anyone else going toningt around the country?

I got a really nice 60D cannon. I'm rigging it in the backseat so I can take some in car videos. If I don't shake it loose.
My best last season was a 9.59 at 82. Not bad on street tires, car seat, full tank of gas, etc. added a few more toys since then, we will see.
Hope to post slips tomorrow, after re-uping to Premium Member status again, and uploading to youtube

Well, Last night I managed to post my best MPH and ETA to date, although not on the same runs. OH, the car is automatic so these times are not too shabby overall.
BEST ETA was my first run. (I'll post slips when I get off work)
reaction: .780 (ugh!)
60ft: 2.415 (not too shabby for Eagle GT's) slicks or radials will get me into 1.9's I think.
ET: 9.351 (personal best) again better tires in the 8's
MPH: 82.019
BEST MPH was my last run
Reaction: .250 (better)
60ft: 2.675 ( I need tires)
ET: 9.675
MPH: 83.132
I think with a few more tweeks and some good tires I could see the car in the 85-90mph 8.5 second range.
All in all a good night, just couldn't hook up in first. although my best launches were done with the brake and gas held to the floor in comp mode. my biggest compition last night was a turbo diesel 4x4. he overall was about 10mph slower but dam that 4 wheel drive at launch. he would get a car or two on me, then I would play catch-up, real close races. Got a lot of compliments on the car, some people even thought it was 2012 model.

Congrats
Et in 1/8 very close to Joe Schultes recent runs.
How well was the track surface prepped.
I agree some stickier tires like drag radials would make a difference.
On your Mods you list
GMTU just want to be sure you mean GM turbo upgrade stg1 another words the standard 290 hp upgrade?
Also you mentioned your best times where
Power braking it and Gas pedal to the floor,What did you mean by COMP mode?

If you press the traction button 2 times quickly. It puts the car into compition mode, and enables launch crontrol.
So esentially it sets a stall convertor at 3200rpm, and then power brake to 2nd stage light. n go!
Yes I have the GM turbo upgrade. (GMTU) and a few bolt-ons. car boost 24-26 depending on the gear.
Yeah after seeing Joe's times with the 5-sp that is dbl tuned, not too bad after all. The track is preped really well, but I needed 2-3 back to back runs just to get the tires hot enough.
