I've been eyeing these bad boys for some time now, but can't find a wheel to fit. What do you think 2005??

Our "buggys" bolt-pattern is 5x110
Lots of 15"x7" wheels in our bolt-pattern of 5x110.
The following link to Discount Tire shows 5 or 6 different wheels alone.

I choose to use a 4 lug wheel, but would never do that again, what a pain...
More rubber does = more traction...
I '"hook" with my small slicks, no need for anything more, as it will slow me down with bigger rubber...

Yea 5x110. 5x115 was the only wheels I could find that were 8"+ wide. So your saying go with. 7" wide wheel? Would you think those slicks I posted above would mount up ok on a 7" wheel? Or would you recommend another tire??

Those are the slicks that I'm running...
They really measure up at 23.5" diameter, & just a hair over 8" wide, so I call them 8" slicks...
You can run any 15"x7" wheel without tubes, WITH THESE SLICKS...
I TALKED TO M&H TECH GUYS, BEFORE DOING THIS…
Couldn't be happier…

My Enkei wheels are 15"x7"
Buy slicks direct, & they will send you a matched pair.. VERY IMPORANT

At 6pm, I made a pass, with the temp at 86', dew point at 69', DA 3,200'
& a strong 'head-wind', with rain coming a few hours away.

I only ran a 12.77 @ 105.51, with my 'street' 'tune'.
I didn't want to load my 'race' "tune', because of the nasty weather,
& a threat of rain, which did come 2 hours later, resulting in a rain-out, today.

My son made a video with his new phone.
No zoom on his phone, & it shows me beating an open header, small block,
80's Chevelle I think.

I see your still out there amazing people with the numbers you are running
I am sure the guy with the malibu was amazed
Unfortunatley I have not switched over to one of your hp tune setups
they pulled all the ethanol out of our area.

I'm at the track.
Time trials start at 6pm.
DA = 1,650 about an hour ago, the predictive forecasted DA, is to improve to
below 1,000 , as the night goes on.
Changes = 3" muffler/resonator in place of a 2.5" muffler/resonator.
Also some mighty fine Optimum Spark Timing table changes.
The road feel going to the track felt very good, but I'm not expecting
much of an improvement, if any, as I think I'm maxed out.
Or as Scotty would say, " that's all she's got captain"...
I will update this post, as the night goes on.

DA at 5pm = 1,550 , so it is dropping...
Temps in the 50s tonight, maybe high 40s, during the last runs, of the night...
Hmm... DA was in the 2,400 - 2,500 range when I got my best run of 12.39 last year,
so maybe a new best ET tonight...

6pm update: time trials are delayed as there's a track clean-up going on.
Some guys were here for a track-rental day, this afternoon, & one of the cars blew-up, & caught on fire...
So, the starting line should be really good, with fresh rubber & good track prep..
DA at 6pm = 1,419

Holy Crap
12.3058 @ 109.30 , 1st run at 6:38pm
1.76 60' beats my previous best of 1.78
7.82 1/8 mile also beats my previous best of 7.88
Felt like a rocket ship, out of the hole...
The Optimum Spark table changes are awesome.
They really make a difference on the street, & now at the track...
Also E47 "tunes", really need a 3" exhaust...

DA at 7pm = 1,298
Oil on the track, so another delay tonight...
I'm going to try a stronger launch of the line, for my 2nd pass

12.3857 @ 109.36 , 2nd run at 7:59pm
It didn't like a stronger launch, it slowly was "creeping" to a redlight-start,
as the brakes couldn't hold it from moving.
I' m going back to a softer launch, the same as the 1st run, to see if I can
crack into the 12.20s...
DA at 8pm = 1,107

12.3929 @ 110.05 , 3rd run at 8:31pm
Going the wrong way...
My log file shows some spinning off of the line, with the ECM pulling back on
the throttle, for just a split fraction of a second.
Either the track is getting to cold, or I didn't line up right, in some fresh
rubber on the line.
100.99 MPH at 1000' , which is a new best 1000' time for me.
Launching @ 5lbs of boost @ 2,500RPM

12.3249 @ 109.68 , 4rd run at 9:07pm
Switched to the left lane as my 1st 3 runs we're in the right lane.
Thinking that the right lane went to crap...
1.74 60' , a new best 60', better than my 1st run of a 1.76 60',

12.3332 @ 109.70 , 5th run at 9:35pm
Consistent bracket racer now...
I so want to crack into the 12:20s, maybe one more run tonight...

12.3360 @ 110.00 , 6th at 9:53pm , & last run tonight...
Damn good bracket buggy, back-to-back 12.33, with only 18 minutes , cool down, between the last 2 runs...

The 12.20s will have to wait until another day...

Checking all the 'logs' this morning, I can see that the slicks were slipping off of the line, on every run.
Not much, but enough on some runs, that gave me those high 12.3s ETs.
I didn't log the 1st run, as it's my 'shakedown' pass, & usually my slowest run of the day.
But, there must have been enough 'heat' in the track, because I couldn't feel any 'slippage' ,
& my buggy shot out of the hole, for my quickest run every, of 12.30

It's amazing that just 4 cylinders, can overpower 8" slicks.
I could've, should've, would've, done better, taking take of the air pressure, in the slicks, & lowering them even more,
to compensate, for the cold track surface.

So, did the Optimun Spark Table changes, + going to a bigger 3" muffler/resonator, help me pick-up a 'tenth',
in my ET, or was it the good "DA", last night.
Again, checking the 'logs', & comparing them to older 'logs', I really don't see a difference.
I'm really thinking that it was the air, a really good DA night, for racing.

There is a direction relationship between 60' times, & ETs, with my automatic 'buggy'
Last year, a best of 1.78 , resulted in my best ET, last year, of 12.39
1.8s will always result in 12.4s
1.7s will always result in 12.3s
