Took the Solstice to the track. Very happy!

Originally posted this in the 1/4 thread, but didn't want to muck it up since its for the HHR so I just posted a new thread.

Just wanted to share my times for my Solstice since we share the LNF:

GXP 5sp w/GMS1/KN filter/airbox mod/Magnaflow catback/stock tires

(last year)
60'......2.087
1/8.....8.964
MPH....80.71
1/4.....13.873
MPH....98.93

This year went back with the addition of a catless downpipe, e47 tune and Bridgestone RE-11.

60'......1.973
1/8.....8.449
MPH....87.44
1/4.....13.066
MPH....108.91

Also had a 13.084 @ 110.61. Really shows the gains you can get with tuning even over gms1. 11mph+ and .8s from mostly tuning.

I went there thinking I may squeeze into the 12s because I had tuning logs with 0-100s at 12.5, but I got denied! So dang close.

Anyone on the fence about upgrading(tune) beyond gms1, I think its pretty clear with those results. Honestly, I think I can get another 30hp out of it as well. That tune is pretty mild with 15-21* and 21-23psi on e47. Just going to enjoy it as is until spring likely when I have an intake and ic piping w/maf relocate. It looks like I could be trapping 115mph+ on the stock turbo and that'd put me mid 12s I think.

The torque that Ethanol delivers, is amazing...

Check out this dyno chart.

500 foot pounds of awesome torque, at the engine, on Ethanol...

^ lol I see what you did there.

Ive been tweaking this tune for a while, but its been on the car for almost 2 months. This whole time I really had no idea my car was that much quicker. I was hoping for 105mph so I left the track satisfied. All my 110mph traps happened when shifting at about 6200rpm. Any longer(65-6700) and it brought my speed down as low as 107. Power ends fast with the stock turbo. May actually get the bug to go back and break 12s before the track closes.

Is it a Trifecta tune or HP tune?

Hpt. I thought with the luck I had tuning the SC HHR, I'd give it a go. The LNF is so rewarding to tune. With no bolt ons, you can turn your car into a torque monster. Mods aren't completely necessary, but I want to squeeze as much as I can out of the stock turbo. I always thought I'd be throwing a bigger turbo on this car, but if I can run mid 12s on street tires/stock tc, thats plenty fast for me.

Hey whose posting my dyno numbers! Muahahaha, you guys should see all the 11's out front of my auto shop lol. I also terrorize local streets 7 days a week. Anyone in MD VA, come through anytime, we also satellite tune for Back yard turbo.
