I will be sad to see them go! I'm sure we'll see them on the roads for some time to come. I put my ss away for this past winter and I plan on having it for a very long time. All good things must come to an end.

A bit of news from GM fleet sales, the HHR has been given a one week stay of execution and the end of production is now May 27, 2011. This has been done to fill outstanding fleet orders, actual build out may occur before May 27 if Ramos Arizpe runs out of assemblies.

I remember my dad bought a 2007 Silverado Classic. That thing had the most random cheap parts. The cupholder in the rear doors was cheaper plastic than normal, and was too small, nothing even fit in it! We had 7 of those body style trucks, and that one seemed to be the cheapest made...

Had the opposite happen back in '94, my Cavalier RS was built on the last day of production and the fit/finish/parts were all top rate, the '95's that came in on the same truck were garbage.

Yeah, the retro thing is kind of dying out, though VW just revealed the 2012 Beetle redesign (no more "New" in the title). Gotta admit, I do like what VW has done with it...it won't happen, but I would love to see what a semi-revamped 2012 HHR might look like.

That's right, the world will end in Dec. 2011, when Chevy discontinues the GREAT HHR.

Ramos Arizpe

It made the Aztec, then the HHR. I drove and hated the ride in an Aztec, but like my HHR. Is anyone willing to divulge what their next product will be?

My friend at GM Fleet Sales was told that they are tooling up to produce the Cruze and the companion Buick model. They haven't seen anything official as far as production schedules which would be the definitive clue as to what's coming out of the plant come August, we shall see.
