I have a set of steel rims with studded winter tires and the original tire pressure sensors are mounted into this set. I also have a set of alloy rims with summer tires and no sensors. Can I get a second set of sensors and teach them and somehow switch between the two sets easily?

Yes, you can. I have an inexpensive tool that I use because of many different cars, but a friend used to do it on his SS with a procedure that is in the owner's manual.

Yes - just swap between sets and re-sync the sensors as per the info in your owners manual.

That is if it is not a 2010-2011 model. They need a special tool.

Also, be sure to store the out of service wheels out of radio range of the car.

His spec sheet says he's got a 2009, so he should be ok. Good point about keeping the spares away from the car - that's screwed up a few people over the years.

They make what they call "cloneable" sensors now. You can buy a set of them to stick into your second set of wheels. Then when you swap there is no need to reprogram. There will be the initial need to clone the new sensors though. Most tire stores can do this for you.

I use them when swapping from my street tires to track tires on another car.

Yes, lights annoy me and if I lose tire pressure, that car will be on the frame.

I have been looking at a set of new wheels for my 2008 HHR LS I really want the They look Great with the matching Baby Moon hub caps. In the information tab, it says the wheels are Not TPMS compatable. has anyone used these wheels? If so how did you get around the TPMS problem. I have seen these, or wheels that look like these wheels on an HHR, and they look great.
