Electrical problems

Can someone please help me? I have been having all sorts of problems since my sister sold me this clunker a year ago. First the rear window goes up/down when it wants to. Then the sunroof stopped working. The radio comes on/off when it wants to AND on stations that aren't programmed. My latest issue was the ignition switch had to be replaced. Since I couldn't get the key out the car ended up dieing until a wrecker could tow it. When I got my car back I couldn't turn the wheel. Any suggestions what this could be?

More information needed on windows. Could be switch could be motor could be wiring.

Power steering not working could be fuse or could be the electric power steering motor. Did you ask them about this since you say it happened when you picked it up?

Radio could be battery or battery cable issue, bad radio head or wiring.

Sunroof could be fuse, roof motor or wiring.

I asked the mechanic and he states that he thought it was like this already. When he towed the car the battery was dead so he couldn't drive it until he replaced the battery.

Doesn't sound like a clunker. Sounds like the previous owner neglected the maintanence on it.

If he or you tried to jump start it and it was hooked up wrong, then the PS fuse was probably popped.

Thank you all for your help. I took it to the dealer this morning and they repaired it for $96. It was the power steering fuse that went out from them trying to jump start it when the battery went dead. I'm glad it only cost me $96. Now I need to get an alignment, 4 new tires, rear brakes and rear shock replacement for a whopping total of $1500
