snap ...why didn't I think of that? In my case though it would be the brown strip since I have the cashmere tan interior

Ok guys...sorry to bring back an old thread, but does anyone have a diagram to get the rear door panels off? Or should it be similar enough to the fronts? My passenger side rear window makes a clicking noise when rolling up, I wanted to take the panel off to look at it, but I didn't want to break anything...

For any panel work you must have the right tools... I picked up this set at Amazon and it includes everything you need. At $16.80 you can't go wrong.

I plan on replacing the factory speakers this weekend and wouldn't even attempt it without panel tools. I learned that the hard way on my last car and will never make that mistake again. In looking at the diagrams it looks like it would be easier to pop the bottom then just lift it straight up.

Thanks to all the info here I replaced the front passenger door handle in an hour. Good stuff, for sure. I stuck the pry bar into an old sock to avoid scratching the finish- worked fine. The electrical hookup puzzled me for a bit. The whole unit comes free by sliding a screwdriver into the frame where the control sits rather than the wire harness coming free. Very efficient. Now the wife has to open the door! The age of chivalry ended all too soon!
