SS Spoiler

Maybe another delay in this task...the paint on my HHR is a tint coat so that raises the value of the paint just a bit. When mixed, not guaranteed to match existing paint. There are two shades of color in the paint chip book. So now I have to drive the car over there to get the proper match...it has to be correct or there will be a very expensive mistake made. I have to get a pint of color and a pint of the tint, kind of like a pearl coat. My painter, of course, already has the clear. Two pints of paint is going to cost me $250! I already have the cost of the spoiler, now the paint and then pay my buddy to paint it. I may decide to just say the heck with all this and put the spoiler up for sale!

Update: purchased the paint an hour ago. The guys at the shop said I did not need two pint cans just to do the spoiler..they sold me two half pints! Came to $130.24. They did say that painting this color an be a real pain to shoot and get it to match. A couple of coats is all that is needed. Any more than that and it starts getting too dark. Hopefully, once the weather clears up and warms up, my painter can get started. Up to 10 inches of snow possible tomorrow and Monday and then a couple of days of below zero weather...oh boy!!!
