Exhaust clips?

I have looked on youtube for exhaust clips of different exhaust on the 2.2 HHR. There are a couple. I saw a magnaflow clip on here but thats the only one ive heard. Does anyone have any videos of the exhaust on their car?

Not sure if there are or not.... one word of caution about using sound clips though. What it's recorded with, MIC/Preamp/camera/etc. will make a huge difference in how it sounds and none may reference what it would actually sound like live.

You may get an idea, but don't bet the bank on it.... just sayin'

Yeah i have noticed how different clips can be based off the way it was recorded. I just want an idea. I have done this with every exhaust I have bought, but they were all for V8 engines. This is my first 4 cylinder and I just dont want it to sound like some rice burner Ive made fun of my whole life haha

well I will tell you this nothing sounds like a V8. But Magnaflow did a great job with making this exhaust for the HHR. if you want power with little sound just take off the stock muffler and put a turbo muffler on like alot ppl have done.

I just got off the phone with Magnaflow at 4:15PM EST on 8/16/10. I had a long talk about there P/N 16655 system for the HHR. Both the muffler and resonator are straight through design. They are acoustic mufflers. The both of them are filled with Rock Wool. This material is better than fiberglass in that it can take more heat before it is burnt up. I too listened to sound clips of new Magna systems, and they did sound "nice" when new. The guy at Magnaflow said the system will get louder with age because the packing "has to set". In reality the packing is start to go away. I asked if the system is life time, and he said yes. Then I asked him about the packing and there was silence for a moment. Then he kind of said, the packing isn't part of the life time deal. He said after about 500 miles the system will take a set and still be under the mandatory 95 Db range. I too like the sound of the new system and on a 2.2 NA it will sound less harsh than a turbo 2.0. If any of you have this system installed for some time, could you give some info on how long you've had it and how much of a sound change there was? For those who would like to talk to Magnaflow there phone number is 1 800 990-0905, ask for tech support.

What's the part number of the turbo muffler? Are you saying the muffler is Magnaflow?

Unless you guys want LOUD, Magnaflow is the wrong choice! Don't even ask me how I know.

What do you want?..... Loud or performance???

I want something that sounds a little deeper and more noticeable but not like a ricer. Ive listened to a magnaflow clip and it seemed good but like what has already been mentioned, the clips vary depending on the camera that recorded it.
