I did not want to offend.
But I never had to deal with the American dealers, my conclusion I draw from your opinions, guys.
I think highly of the American people, American culture & traditions. But some aspects of American reality, making me sad. Among these aspects - the poor performance of American dealers that you often write.
Once again I apologize if you hurt someone unintentionally.
Especially Sleeper, which I respect.

You need to check to see if the oil is running down from higher up. Check your PCV system to make certain that you aren't getting pressure in the crankcase. There should be a slight vacuum in the crankcase.

I don't know if everybody gets the same ads at the bottom of the page but there was one for an oil stop leak. I don't have any experience with this particular product but it might be worthwhile to try some type of stop leak.

I have used a spray made by Permatex that you put on the outside for an oil pan gasket leak. It has held up for two years on a diesel engine. You need to wash the area thoroughly and then clean it with brake cleaner. Let it dry and spray the sealer on in several light coats. I duct taped a vacuum cleaner hose to the oil filler to create a vacuum in the crankcase to try to pull some of the sealer into the seam.

Second Opinion on it way

I have cleaned the engine top & bottom and it definitley is leaking from a mid point of the block (lower #106 mating to Cylinder Block #100) see ( http://parts.nalleygmc.com/showAssem...ssembly=364239 ) on the right end (drivers side).

I am taking it to another repair shop, known to be both good & reasonable. We'll see.

BTW, I have heard from a couple of others having the same issue.

Stupid question but is this not covered under the drivetrain warranty?

Covered under Warranty???

Mine is an '06 with 80,000+ miles. Basic warranty was 3yr/36000 with 5yr/60000 drivetrain.

I lose.

There was no drivetrain warranty on the HHR in 2006. Only the Aveo and Cobalt.
