Rear wiper switch

Noticed tonight when I went to pick up my daughter from gymnastica the rear wiper would not run in the slowest of the two speeds. Occasionally it would run 1 swipe, but not the delays. It would in the faster of the two, delay and all.

Anyone that has removed the rear wiper have a un-needed switch lying around?

Mine's un-needed, as I don't use the rear window scratcher, but I want to keep the car intact, because I expect to retain it until my kids inherit it.

I checked on e-bay and there's 2 currently listed at $17.50 and $14.00

I saw the 2 on ebay and will get one there is it comes to that. It actually worked this morning and I realized that it was the faster speed that wasn't working yesterday. Switch is going out, but not in any real hurry.

My rear wiper ONLY works in intermitten mode...no matter the position and at same timing...never use them so never worried,

Both setting on the rear wiper are intermitten, one is just a faster delay then the other.

May not be the switch. There is a circuit and relay involved. Tom Hanks made a movie about the intermittent wiper guy, point being it is not "just a switch".

Mine wil work fine and then all of sudden the wiper will just stop and I have to toggle the switch off and on to get it back working. I believe the resistor for the time delay is in the switch and it is just worn and going out, much like blower motor resistors get. If the relay was bad I would expect no operation or very erratic operation, like it works fine and then the next day nothing etc.
