Temp gauge shows well above normal
#4
Welcome to the site.
What does the digital engine temp read on the DIC display ?
It's most likely running hot even if it doesn't show any signs. Let it cool down and check the coolant level in the radiator(not the overflow container). If it's not full when cold, then you've lost coolant.
Check back with your findings.
Fwiw. A faulty gauge is unlikely. Don't recall anyone posting up problems with that.

I'm guessing that you haven't read the owners manual that shows you all that can be read in the DIC (Drivers Information Center) on your dash.
If you don't have an owners manual, check Donbrews signature above. He has a link where you can download one.
