From a Sky Forum:
http://www.skyroadster.com/forums/f2...tml#post387207

Okay all you naysayers ... here's the info you've all been waiting on! (I was told on Monday wasn't allowed to say anything )

Information made available today to Pontiac dealerships shows:

Stage Kit for LNF Turbo Engine

Ready-for-sale Date
MY 07/08 = 12/15/2008

MY2009 = Early 09CY (assumes no additional CARB certification testing)

Comments
*Adds 30 HP to the Turbo engine (290 vs. 260)

*Adds 65 Lb-ft of torque (325 vs. 260) for auto trans.

*Adds 80 Lb-ft of torque (340 vs. 260) for manual trans.

*Kit includes sensors, wiring harnesses, and calibration changes

*Plus Install time = 1 hour

*Fits both Coupe & Roadster

*Requires premium fuel

Stage kit for LNF Turbo - Warranty Clarification
*If customer takes delivery of stage kit with new vehicle purchase, warranty on stage kit is equal to the new vehicle powertrain warranty.

*If customer takes delivery of stage kit after new vehicle purchase, warranty on stage kit = 12 months/12,000 miles or the remaining new vehicle warranty, whichever is longer.

*Installation of stage kit does NOT void new vehicle/powertrain warranty.

*Warranty is void if kit is used for racing.

Wow...not a gearhead myself, but bought the HHR SS for its zip...and extra 30hp, backed by GM and good what's left on my warranty? Done and done....in the Spring...and assuming it comes to Canada.

Lookis like its only an hour of shop time.
Maybe they should toss in some new badging.

that warranty will be void if used for racing, kills me lol!!! what's the freakin point of getting it,if you are not going to "challange or compete" against anyone else??? as it sits stock, the car is more than enough to go around traffic and pass quickly.

It's just a CYA thing. Nothing surprising there at all. AFAIK, only Mitsubishi has internet police actively pursuing individuals bragging about track times in order to void their warranties. In general, most everything is void at the track, including your insurance. If someone is dumb enough to take the car back to a dealer with drag radials on it, 1/2 inch of rubber plastered in the wheel wells, and complaining that he got beat by a Subaru when his clutch blew, well....

The Power Upgrade Kit does not limit torque in any gears for the auto. A quote from one of the calibration engines: "It's a real tire eater"

The Kit suggest a 1 hour installation time. But what each dealer charges is up to them
