Probably not going to amputate but it could certainly injure severely.

Not sure on the sensor and no time to look it up. I think it's resistance on the motor, but refer to my signature until I look it up.

Funny you should mention this. On my past vehicle I installed an alarm system that would automatically arm, lock doors and rollup the windows when I left it alone for 20 seconds.

I use to travel with a c o c k atiel(with clipped wings) and found him several times rolled up and stuck at the top of the window/door. The last time was his demise. Please no comments.

The commercially available rollup modules have current sensing in them and stop when they encounter resistance. They however, will not roll back down and release that pressure. Amputation of an arm or finger of an adult I would think would require much more force than these windows can exert.

This is a work vehicle and no children should be around it and I don't have any.

Maybe this helps? I installed an after market remote keyless entry, don't ask why. But after some research I found that at least in the door lock you use one wire, lock goes straight thru unlock has a resistor in line (1500 ohm I seem to think). I cannot read the previously posted schematic well enuf to say that is the solution for windows or not, but maybe... Let us know, sounds like a good idea.
