I had some damage to my front bumper last week. It is being repaired. I am having the body shop remove and repair the rivet holes and I want to relocate front plate. Possibly right below the current position. Has anyone done this before or have any suggestions???

I think if you look back through "SoCalHHR" posts, Mike back in the day had done this. I'm sure the regulars will chime in rather quick like with the info for you! They are good like that!

I lowered my plate down to the bottom grill, just watch out for parking stones.

That is what I was lookng for. What did you use to mount the plate? That is also nice the way you color matched the front end.

The thing you guys need to keep in mind when you're doing that is cooling efficiency. You start placing the plate directly in front of the lower facia opening and the cooling fans won't be able to draw as much air into and over the condenser and radiator.

I made a custom one and used only 2 screws that went in the black part only.And it does not hang down and cut off any air going to the condenser.

Thanks, i used stainless steel bolts to fasten plate. As far as air flow i have had no probems. It doesn't really get that hot up here.
