He states the HHR SS he has: "3" catless turboback exhaust, bigger intercooler, charge pipes hot anc cold side and the GM Stage 1 Kit."

I know this is dyno'd at the wheels, but I would've thought it'd been higher than 283hp. This is basically the Hahn SS (tuning, catless DP, exhuast, charge piping, and bigger intercooler)...they got (self-reported mind you) 350 or something like that. 290-295hp is the stage 1...The intercooler (they state) is an average of 20hp+, etc.

Again, I know its at the wheels, but any thoughts on the numbers?

That video is of BARTSS's HHR. He is a member on here so you can ask him any questions that you have.

Also, I dyno'd right after him on the same dyno. That dyno seemed to be less than accurate, and it was raining on and off all morning leaving the dyno surface pretty wet. I posted 257hp and 281tq with the stage 1 kit only.

Thanks for the input. Well if yours is baseline, even if the numbers are off...

That is interesting. That means his Hahn additions: Exhaust, IC, DP, CP made a 26whp difference over the stage 1 with stock parts.

Remember Guys....dynos are not the same....

You can acquire numbers on one, then go right next door and dyno again and have numbers off by 5-8%.

Witnessed it many times.

Besides, you're putting to much "weight" into just dyno numerics. Those are only good for tuning purposes....kind of before and after results. The numbers that count are at the track.

Yeah that's my car on the dyno. It was humid as hell that day. Since then I have tuned the car with hp tuners as well. I think that 26hp with just basic boltons is a good gain over what SPPD dynod if you guys have any questions feel free to ask. And no I did not have baseline dynos

Its fair to assess the two guys that did it back to back though...

OK, so now I'm confused. I dynoed mine today for the first time on a dynamometer. I have a 09 SS AT with the Stage 1 kit only. My numbers came back as 215hp, 215tq! WTF?!? It was outside, probably btwn 90-95 degrees. They told me that initially it runs too lean and then on the top end runs excessively rich. They claimed the numbers looked good, but from what I have seen here, didn't seem so good to me! I was expecting closer to 250hp/tq.

The day we ran on the Dyno another member with an auto could not get correct dyno numbers because the car kept shutting down early due to an issue with the ABS/ESC/TC(I think). He dyno'd in the same range as you, but those numbers were obviously wrong.
Maybe your car was experiencing the same issues.

What is it about the numbers game..you own a STOCK auto..you don't race, your not in competition, you don't make anything for having big numbers, you willl probably never have the fastest model around....so whats the point? Actually I know this answer, but it would piss so many people off its not woth mentioning......
no matter what you thiink you have, there willl always be somebody there to best you...enjoy what you have and stop worring about trivial things.( No, thats not the answer)
