What is the stupidest design error?

So, what do you think is the stupidest thing GM did on the HHR? My vote goes to the method required to get at the blower motor. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show....php?t=18419#9

I've got a decomposing rodent somewhere in my vehicle. I suspect it had been coming and going through the A/C condensate drain. (I've had the same sort of thing happen to my Envoy, where I found a mouse had ridden the 'centrifuge of death', aka the squirrel cage. My, but the dashboard will shake with a tiny mouse throwing off the fan's balance.) But I've digressed. I can't believe I am going to have to cut the blower box apart to go look for this critter, then buy a kit to put it back together.

Altogether now: STUPID DESIGN!

To me it is a toss up between the battery location (I'd hate to replace one while the car is loaded for vacation,) and the inability for me to see a traffic light (unless I rest my chin on the steering wheel.)

Changing the tail light bulb is pretty bad as well. Had to do that last weekend and it was pretty tough to get my hand in behind the bulb socket and get enough force to actually turn it from the locked position. It seemed like it should have been a much easier job.

In the 06, not having the ability to turn on the rear dome light via the light dial on the center stack was pretty bad.

"and the inability for me to see a traffic light (unless I rest my chin on the steering wheel.)"

Not just a thing confined to HHR's, didn't take me long to adapt the same "tilt head and duck maneuver" to see traffic lights in my Challenger. Its nice when the other half is with me, she's 6" shorter than I am so she calls the lights so I'm not doing the "HHR Scrunch".

On the ability to see the traffic lights...... HOW would you have designed it differently and retained the same look of the vehicle? Or you would rather have a windshield/roofline that's 12 inches taller? Would have been a damn ugly car. Seriously.......

If they would have made the roof an inch shorter, I'd just stick my head out the sun-roof.
