The Eco Turbo is going to be the workhorse of the future. It will be found in many models including the new ATS Cadillac.

Those numbers are the same as in the regal gs, with about the same 0- 60 time, right? And the malibu is a larger car with an auto trans, hmmm.

Note this is the new engine not the same one in the Regal. GM is releasing the new ECO II line and it will be more quiet and efficent.

The new Malibu is the same platform now as the Regal. It also should be lighter since it does not recieve as much quiet tuning as the Regal. This does add weight.

I also expect GM to upgrade the number on this engine by release. They often add 5-10 HP by release on most new engines.

Expect this engine in the Regal too.
