Havent thought much on a meet lately, I am kinda refraining from comments for now since Im driving a few hundred miles every weekend lately.
We went to the NE GA SWAP MEET in Commerce at the dragstrip. Oh what a @#&*?*! Disappoinment, got there at 12:15 and it was wrapping up wth there were no food vendors, no car show, looked like maybe 15 sellers showed up. I drove 3 hrs for nothing. Stopped by J&J flea mrkt in Athens, again wth happened, that place used to fill up. Strike three for disappointment wasnt going to get me, went home to a nice pot of yankee chop suey

True, time is flying...car meet weather is rapidly upon us.
I cant speak much for native Atlanta metro folks but to me I can be from downtown to a cow pasture in 30 min around there. 85 gets a little timely but 75 & 20 moves you out fast in off hours. I stayed in Jackson one night with relatives because I had a meeting in twin towers downtown, im pretty sure I got there inside 30 min and Jackson isnt too far from High Falls Park if I remember correctly. Im in Augusta so really SC and NC are closer as far as hitting any particular mark in those states but Im a Georgian so lets do this. IT'S a big state from my corner!

There's a large Southeast Ecotec meet in the works to happen sometime next April. Search on Facebook for the page (don't have a link). It's more for the guys that are modified but there are a few stock vehicles that have joined the page.

Today Gwinnett Tech held their first annual car show. It was a $5 charitable entry fee, but, you get to show off your car. Granted most that showed up were the "tuners". There were only two Corvettes worth looking at and a Ford GT 40 wanabe. Well, I ended up talking to the show co-ordinator, and he's a real car guy, not tuners, but, the kinda cars you want to see at a car show, nice old customs, some older imports, even a few jazzed up HHR's and such. The main thing is, I told him I would talk to ya'll and see about co-ordinating a meet for his show next year, this gives us a whole year to get things in order and show up, as a group and get the HHR noticed, What do ya'll think? Gwinnett Tech is right off Hwy 316 in Lawrenceville, VERY easy to get to and get out. I think this would be a cool to have a handful or more nice HHR's show up

Did have a nice gray '06 2LT a little west of Macon but my son-in-law-to-be practically made a forklift out of it Oct. 31 when he hit a tree whilst trying to dodge a deer. Thankfully he's OK but we're now busy trying to move to N.E. GA and looking for another one.
