Spring is by far my favorite season, and does allow more time to spread the word. Sounds good!
Maybe a lake setting like ThatChevy suggested.

We'd love to have you come up wilkinsd1, just have to get this thing off the ground.

I'm cool with Lake Norman in the spring, its a nice place and there is the Catawba Queen for a possible charter/dinner cruise on the lake.

I agree spring would give everyone more time to plan and prepare. Either way as long as I have at least two weeks notice to request off work and it's not around Labor Day weekend I should be good to go. I just hope this gets off the ground.

That's going to be the fun part fire, the when and where have derailed other attempts at a Carolina/Southern meet up.

As to the when, next spring seems to be the target.

Keep us Georgian's in mind. Wouldn't mind a meet if we could do a half-way point maybe in South Carolina. Not sure I'm up for 12 hour round trip drive.

If spring will make it easier for more people to attend than im ok with that. The more HHR's the better.

I might have to drive up. NC is my home state after all. Concord/Charlotte/Raleigh/Southern Pines/Asheville/Waynesville (lived in each)

South Carolina is not out of the realm of possibilities for a location chef, at this point we have enough time to hash that out, the more HHR's the merrier.

If we are talking next year, South Carolina would be perfect...may take the wife to Charleston for a weekend getaway. Don't move it on account of me though...if you guys don't get any other love from us a little further south then keep it close by all means.
