Angry Low Fuel Pressure

I am at wits end....My HHR was running fine and left me stranded after eating lunch. I have had it at two different Chevy dealers. The fuel pump in the tank is fine. The high pressure fuel pump has been changed three times and all three have the same low pressure. The dealer swears it is not a computer problem but there is low pressure at the fuel rail. I love this car but am ready to trade it but I need it to run first! Has anybody had this problem?

Thank you for any help!
Jim

I gotta ask: is the Check Engine Light on? If it is, what is the code that was downloaded.

No check engine light. No codes. It cranks and "wants" to start but won't. I put a new pump in the tank a year or so ago and have replaced high pressure pump twice now and regulator. Also changed crankshaft positioning sensor and harness per dealer diagnostics.

Sounds like it has been an intermittant problem for a while now?

Kinda makes me think there is a bad connection somewhere, possibly at the computer - maybe a pin not mounted correctly in one of the sensor connectors etc..

I'm out of this discussion - you have now opened a third thread over this issue.

You open another one, and I'll delete them all, including this one, and you will be banned.

No. Not an intermittent issue. In tank pump went out a year or two ago and was changed. This happened when I walked out from having lunch and so far two dealers cannot fix it. I've spent over $1000 so far and when I go get my car it will be with a trailer. I'd rather not take it to another dealer to start over with diagnostics etc for a third time but the car has to be fixed. Just looking for help and thought there would be a wealth of knowledge on here.

Dealer says all communication with the computer is correct, voltages etc are correct and its not a computer issue. I thought so too but they argue that its not.

Dealer says all communication with the ECM is complete and correct and that it is not a computer issue. I thought it was also but they argue that it's not. The mechanic said it HAD to be the high pressure pump, thus the third $600 pump was ordered.

I really don't think we can help you here - you keep opening new threads, and are repeating yourself over and over.

My troll-detector has been sounding for the last 15 minutes over your posts.

Open your owners manual, and look up the phone number for GM and give them a call - you need to escalate the problem with them.

This thread is closed.
