Replacing rear rear disc brakes

Is there any info or has anyone replaced the rear disc brakes on 2009 SS? Do you have to do something with the E-brake???

I've replaced the pads and rotors on mine.nothing special needed for the e-brake. You do need something to retract the calipers like the brake cube tool.

So the rears are basically the same as the fronts?

..except you screw the piston cups back in...not squeeze, like the front..the rears adjust for the e brake by turning, so for new pads they need to be 'turned' back in...

Which can be done with the brake cube tool I mentioned... although some parts stores will rent or let you borrow a better tool. Just as a warning to the OP, it does take awhile to turn the rotor in, and you need to be sure you turn it the correct direction! Overall though it is not a difficult job at all.

Just found out about this, my 1st rear disk brake job.....
Does it need to be turned clockwise to retract??
And how far does it need to be retracted??

Thanks in advance,
