Unfortunately, that information does not agree precisely with the other source I was using which is here: https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html . This makes me a little concerned. I was having a tough time already .

The technique for measuring the 5-bolt pattern is different on the http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/...jsp?techid=92& Wheel Tech Link, and if I remember high school geometry correctly, will yield slightly different results.

Using the measurement diagram on the Tire Rack link, my stock HHR wheels measure 5x108mm.

Any recommendations? Do I need a new metric ruler?
Both methods are rules of thumb, and not always exact. The only exact way is to measure across two studs center to center (or with caliper across two, then subtract the diameter of one stud) then multiply by 1.0515 (is equal to 1/cos(18) ). That implies the 5 x 110mm measures 104.6mm stud to stud, so if you measure 105mm you've got it.

Different bolt pattern? Almost fit? Ummm ...... No?

That's just scary. I think that would be grounds for "Not covered by your insurance".... Negligence.... My goodness... just bad planning.

Tirerack is incorrect, although the difference is small. RSRacing.com illistrates the correct way to measure 5 lug hub.

Five lugs lining up between spokes vs. lining up at spokes.

Hi,
I have an LS with stock flat silver wheel covers with 5 lug nuts that line up between the spokes. I'd like to upgrade to polished chrome covers, however, all the covers that I like have the other configuration, i.e. lug nuts lining up at each of the spokes. The covers that I like have the Chevy bow tie in the center.

Seems like I've been asking this question for years, but can anyone tell me if the two patterns are interchangeable? Vendors have told me that it "should" work, but then sound less convincing when I ask if canreturn them if they don't fit.

Sorry if this has been asked and answered but I've looked everywhere and even vendors can't seem to give me a straight answer.
