White wall tire inserts

What do think of these Portowalls - Portawalls insert. I see a lot of negative and positive comments on them.

Port-o-walls are ok, you really don't have a lot of choices today. In the days of white walls being common, they were a cheap way of having the look and were frowned upon. Guys used to walk up to a car at a drive in or local hang out and bend them down to show everyone that you had "Mickey Mousers" , not real white walls.

They were (cheap) cool back when I was a kid. As long as no-one got near them, & Never touch a curb.

I would say you would need inner tubes as well for using them. If you don't have TPMS

They sometimes 'flap' when going down the road. I guess that they would also 'flap' if you went up the road. lol

Very "Old School" and a pig to work with, and as sleeper pointed out, you'll need inner tubes for radial tires.

If i get portowalls i'll cut em like a ring then glue them with urethane glue that way the rims is not holding the disc and they won't flap.

They aren't recommended for radial ply tires

Where there's a will there's a way. Why?

I might just paint them then
