is this you?

I'm wondering if anyone here belongs to this hhr?
while not a victory, it was a good race and a lot closer than you'd think.
my hats off to the driver.

Interesting write up about the "race" on youtube.

A 1/4 mile drag race video of a 2014 Dodge Charger SRT powered by Dodge's 470 HP 6.4 liter (392 cu in) Hemi. The SRT Charger takes on a 2010 Chevrolet HHR SS powered by a 2 liter turbo 4 banger and a 5 speed manual. The little 2 liter HHR SS makes 260 hp when stock. Despite having 1/2 the number of cylinders and 1/3 the engine displacement of the Charger, the little HHR hangs tough. BTW, Chevrolet discontinued the HHR in 2011.

Imo the little HHR 5 speed may have had LSD and a good after market tune with a few mods like K&N intake and charge pipes and bigger intercooler. If not that is the fastest stock HHR SS time I have ever seen! Little suspect to me? but even with those " mods" it was a good race! I know like DRlock and 2005hhr
both would have easily beat the Dodge. I think I could have as well? but will never know?
But again Our little SS's , are sure the little choo choo that could. :) They still amaze me and put a smile on my face, gotta love them

I agree with that. In my opinion can't shift the 5 speed as fast as the auto will with the correct tuning.

I am no expert; but it looks to me like he lost on the start. So an auto would have helped a lot.

Man I can't wait to put the new motor/turbo on the track. It is the wife's SS after all. She has become a car nut over the weekend. Ever since that first real WOOOOOSH from the 256. I have the wastegate opening at 18psi while we're breaking it in and it still pulls like crazy! 13s are without question while keeping her and the new engine safe.

Happy racing!

Better order up a firesuit and 5 point harness with all that roll cage tubing! She's hooked!
