Well let's see, an SS with a 5-Speed weighs in at 3,280 lbs, and the Grand Cherokee SRT8 weighs in at 5,150 lbs, I'd say Jeep should be proud that they can get that porker around the 'Ring as fast as they did.

and comes with a V8 with almost twice the horsepower at a price over twice that of the SS. Of course from a stand still it will leave the SS behind

I"m surprised they made a Hemi Cherokee. Oh wait, it's Dodge! I really love the Chargers though, especially the new SRT8.

My wife's brother use to work for Chrysler and his job was to test there "new" cars in the real world he would sometimes have these cars for 3 to 6 months or longer.. he brought the Jeep SRT8 over and let me drive it.... wow.. the test one he had was CRAZY fast.....so much power.. from what he said when it came down to it they actually lowered the power when it finally went into production...

I imagine the center of gravity is quite a bit higher in the Jeep.
