My 1LT against one very humiliated rice grinder
Okay, so admittedly the 1LT with the 2.4 and a 5 speed is no SS, and not a "fast" car by any means, but it beat the pants off of an Eclipse this morning.
The Eclipse had some serious intake noise, and what sounded like a pretty serious exhaust. (Definitely no turbo though)
We both spotted a gap in traffic about a quarter mile up the highway (That was slowly closing) I dropped it into 3rd at 70, gained some ground on him, wound it out in 4th and to my surprise, he struggled to keep up.
I slipped through the opening just before it closed up, and he got stuck behind a dump truck.
I'm no street racer, but I'm pretty proud of my car for pulling that off.
Not bad for a bone stock, domestic MPV.
