0 to 60 time on a SS automatic with a GMTU?

Does anyone happen to know the 0 to 60 time for a HHR SS automatic with a GMTU upgrade?

I haver never seen a offical time but if you could get traction I would expect a low 4 second run.

The real issue is with FWD it is so hard to get traction from a dead stop. The weight unloads the front end when it transfers when you hit the gas and unless you have some slick hooking up under full power is difficult.

Because of this I would not expect a lot of big gains in 0-60. This is just one area more power is not going to show a big gain due to the traction issues till you do some other work.

Well I attempted to get some 0 to 60 times on my aeroforce gauge. I didn't slam it all the way since I was a little worried about the police,But my gauge showed my 0-60 time was 6.5 seconds. Not bad considering I didn't slam it all the way and mine is a automatic. Ill get a better time when I hit the race track in maybe 2 or 3 weeks. Keep u guys posted.

A low 4 second run? I think you are being waaaay too optimistic.

It's doable.

With slicks & my HP tune, I'm at 3.6 seconds.

The question from foxtrotraptor was a SS auto with GMTU. He didn't ask about times with a bunch of other mods.
I'll stick with my 1st comment.

I would say real low 5's with just the tune. Even with my toys it don't feel like fours but I could be wrong.

Ahh, I did understand OPs question.
It's doable with a GMPP tune, as 'brake-torquing' with an automatic is a wonderful thing....:gnonespet:

My guess is 5.8-6.2, because that's where I'm at with the superchips programmer. They have very similar numbers. They have a calculator thing on the internet somewhere, give you an estimate of 0-60 from weight and et. At 3550lbs (car, me, 1/4 tank) I ran 9.56 at my local 1/8th mile. This calculator said 5.77 seconds

Let me correct myself I ment low 5 seconds.

Sorry there is no way a low 4 unless you have well over 300 HP and some way top put the power down.

Getting the low 5 would even be difficult unless you have the grip at launch.

Sorry I should have reread my statment as I will correct my statment "I do not accept a low 4 with only the GM Upgrade".

The bottom line is only few people will have the set up for grip and the skill to hook it up to get the max low time.

This car is proof that FWD vehicles do not have more traction. It has been a lie for years that auto makers pushed to get people into FWD cars to save weight and space. The only thing that is easier is the point and gas driving many can do that have issues with keeping a RWD car from sliding around. The fact is over half of the people on the road have very poor car control skills and with all the electronic aids they have not imporved as they rely on the car to do it for them now.
