5th injector

Thinking about buying zzp's 5th injector kit
Anyone already running one? Ive read on the cobalt forums of. Few that due. Sound off on your opinions plz:) n just to start it off, it does give unequal amounts of fuel, but the lnf already does and from zzp, it is still in the safe range.

Will most likely be my next mod, as I want to run full E85 and not need to limit boost or mix fuel at two different pumps.

Not to mention I want to use it to keep intake valve clean since DI sucks.

I can't find too many people running zzp's kit.

Hrm. My only thing about e85 is it will eat away aluminum and dont our motors have some?

And on a side note i will be getting the cams as well. With e85 i should be around 550hp. And I will be happy about my motor then. Wont be til xmas though.. cause I needs to first get suspension to handle it, then go stage either 1.5 or 2 clutch.

The motor will be fine with E85. Only thing to worry about is injector seals. Apparently they were upgraded in 2010+ LNF cars that can resist E85.

550 ?? thats a lot of horse power, must be a Texas thing, I think thats about what Erick's build is de-tuned to.

Here is the original write up. I am not a fan of adding an injector but with DI it becomes important and especially with under peak RPM range situation w/ E85. But definitly in my opinion be retuned with taking the 5th injector into consideration.

As for Suspension, in FWD cars what you would need to do would make it track-only, just get some stiffer items, good tires (that have a good compound and side wall), and roll the throttle. Or try to limit boost until you roll out a few mph.

Naw, i wouldnt make it a track car. I understand that fwd makes it harder to use all of it, but my biggest fear are the axles. Im not sure what they can handle. And the good thing about the 5h inj is i can always tune it down. Lol

I do know one lnf owner that broke an axle at the track, so they are not bulletproof. I think he only had a tune and ran slicks. I think you will always have a weakest link, and have to learn to moderate throttle application.

Lets put it this way, you need a bias ply slick for the track, RWD 4th Gen Fbodies making 400 RWHP cam only have issues with Drag radials. Some get them to work but those are pure breed race cars and FI *forced induction* which they can control the timing and boost and roll it in.

Start checking companies that Cobalts use, bet they have a listing for HHR. I am surprised no one runs a Snow Perf. Kit (meth kit) hit helps with peak hp fuel tolerence. Maybe people do, just a thought.
