Air Intake

Has anyone installed or have any info on the CGS air intake on 2.0L. I've heard there were some problems it. I saw one on ebay for 215.00 and thought about purchasing it.,but i like to get some feedback first. Thanks

They stopped production and said buy at your own risk. A company just come out with one for half the price of the CGS and no cel's.

Dejon powerhouse makes one. I'm also looking into developing one myself. Woohoo!

air intake

Hey Michael, i just finished making my own air intake, because i thought the CGS one were to expspenive. I just went to Kragen an bought a "Spectre" air filter with a 3.00ID and a adapter that goes from 3.0 id down to 2 3/8 id.Together they cost $24.00. Then i bought a piece of aluminum tube that is 2 3/8 dia. and 3 1/2 inches long. ($2.00) Then bought a piece of aluminum channel 1.0 x 2.0 inches long. ($1.00) Had the channel welded onto the tube and made a slot to fit the MAF Sensor.($5.00).Took off the stock air filter. Loosen the clamp on the plastic elbow on the engine, turned it to the right and hooked everything up. Took about twenty minutes to install. The filter sits kinda behind the radiator, so you get fresh air from underneath the car and from the fan.

Some tin work and you have a heat shield AND a direct path from the front of the hood area....good potential to clean up the area a bit...nice cosmetic piece..
