Any performance gain IC pipe

I would like to know if installing an aftermarket hot side IC pipe showed any improvement in performance and/or mpg.

Not without a change in your tune..However the metal ones wont blow up and damage your hood.......:)

Are you going to say the increase of volume/flow of the pipe will effect a tune that much? I have a Trifecta tune that can be reprogrammed. Boost now is 24 psi and have no issues with the plastic pipe so far.

I have found that changing the hot side pipe from the OEM plastic to a round aftermarket does make a difference.

I have also found that it doesn't effect the tune in any way. If you move the MAF and depending on where you put it or change the size of the tube the MAF is mounted in you will have to do a re-tune for the frequency/airflow change.

I've been running the stock IC pipes with a Trifecta tune since 2009 with no problems about to hit 124k and so far so good :)

In what way? Does the turbo spool up faster?
