Just got mine yesterday but haven't really looked at it yet. The spring laying in the box was golden in color but I'm sure that is the "yellow" one.
She seems to like the golden/yellow spring more. Thanks for the tip. Took one minute to swap in the spring, did it in the driveway at 10:00pm. Love how they built this item.

From what I understand both work fine (the nipples), the vacuum lines has no issues reaching either.

I was just waiting to see if I can get the 4 spring set with it, afraid mine will like the next one a little heavier than the yellow. G sabb hasn't replied yet.

Hey Guys, You know they make a BOV that mounts to the same housing unit, they know from testing that it won't fit the 'balts, but are unsure on an HHR. from looking at my buddies 'balt, we seem to have more room to add the one they sell that vents to atmosphere, without having to tap the IC pipes.

From their site
Please Note:
The quoted spring pressure (Psi) relates to the un-assisted clamping force of the spring and should NOT be taken as an equivalent to boost pressure when determining suitability. Once a valve is fitted to a car it is subjected to various pressures that act upon the diaphragm or piston to aid its respective ability to seal or hold boost. An example of this, would be when using a FMCL007P valve on a 1.8T engine as found in the TT 225hp. The boost pressure on a "chipped" car can peak at 26psi. The recommended spring would be the Green or Yellow
Honestly even tuned a lot of people run the green, I can about 99.9% tell you the yellow will be sufficient . I've ran the yellow peaking 25-27 sometimes and never had an issue, for the K04 it's plenty sufficient.

Ok I'll take your word for it I just want to make this boost lag go away. The spring kit is cheep if I need it later.

Why would an BOV work any better ? I know, I'm ignorant, thats why I ask ?

Personally I feel no need to go atmospheric on a stock K04 turbo, none. Not to mention the potential tuning issues you will encounter without a MAF relocate due to skewed readings. The Forge BPV is where it's at.

Joe, ever know anybody who actually needed a BOV? Me Neither, but most get it for the sound, some for the quicker shift, a few for harder boost hit, and then ther is always one guy who just thinks it looks good. MAF relocate aside, it is an added performance tool when used with a turbo above the 04
