Cobalt Cold Air Intake on the HHR SS

I bought this Cold Air Intake (Injen I believe) for under 100.00, First I cut the Mounting Bracket off leaving a 1 1/2 stub, then I decided where I wanted the filter to set, thats where the original air tube plugged into, all I had to do was make one cut to each pipe & added the silicone connector, next I cut a piece of flat bar I drilled a hole in one end & bolted it to the stub I left on the original mounting bracket then I cut a 3/8 slot in the other end, next I loosened the nearest strut nut & slid the slotted end under the nut, the only thing left to do was tighten the strut nut, saving me over 100.00 for 30 minutes work.

Yes, heat soak is a problem with the stock intercooler, have you up-graded to a larger after market intercooler like I did ?

I am under the impression the turbo makes enough heat that CAI/SAI/WAI just doesnt matter. The air is heated going through the turbo.
