DEJON Hi-Flow Intake Pipe for HHR SS??

Has anyone ever installed this?

http://hhr.dejonpowerhouse.com/

Did anyone ever get any codes? Also I was planning on doing Stage 1 and didn't know if this would be problem getting.
Thanks in advance.

Matt

No actually I didnt even know they had something. I am buying a dejon SRI from a cobalt ss/tc and I've heard it works unless someone was talking about this dejon SRI that the installed on another forum... Makes me wonder. None the less, I'm getting an awesome deal on the cobalt SRI and will be trying to install it on my HHR. I would definatly say I would take that over the stock box, even with a K&N filter drop in.

I don't have it.

I did have all of their intercooler plumbing and their double-size side-mount in my 90 Talon about 10 years ago though.

It was all great fit/finish and slightly expensive but no regrets :thumb:

I'm glad to see all the additions at their site and will probably get the whole shebang from them after it hits 100K (probably next year the way I'm going)

Dejon has quality parts, alot of locals are running dejon parts and I like the fit and finish of them. Plus, they have decent prices.

On there page (under intakes)

Do you guys know which parts are in the second picture. Maybe it's just me but I'm so confused on which one of those 4 choices to order. I still want to use the stock MAS.

Thanks

In the 2nd pic on their site they are showing you the cold side IC piping and their stubby intake. in general, because you are losing the box you will see a small rise in Intake temps, but overall suck more air.

I dunno instead of ordering that intake i rather take the lid off of my intake until i get my car tuned for the cold air intake thats been sitting in my closet for like a year now

How does the Dejon intercooler piping compare to the hahn stuff?

Jaxon 08-16-2010 10:04 AM

The dejon seems to be good piping, I know a couple local guys that have it and one is making gobs of power. Get tbolts and silicone couplers, you can probally get the by themself for cheaper than buying them through dejon if your buying new.

I would rather run a SRI than the stock box, less heatsoak and better airflow.

I have the Dejon intercooler piping and love it. But make sure you get the tbolt clamps for sure!!!

I mean the Dejon SRI is nice but sits right above the intake mani which gets pretty hot so i think ill wait to get tuned for my cold air

CIA has piping as well with less pieces to couple together, dress up option is for the HHR SS. Plus $50.00 off right now on their website. I agree with Bart, make sure you use T-bolt clamps.

Not many turbo cars have a cold air on the hot side. The IC does all the work cooling the air. I'm not saying that a cold air wouldnt be better, but you seem to have the only one lol. I'm just saying that the SRI would be better than the stock airbox, its a heat box for sure.

dejon intake

I have the intake, hot pipes and just purchased the cold side and top engine cover to cover were the air box was located.

Here is the C.I.A piping!

Blackedout97 08-17-2010 08:25 PM

i have the SRI. I didn't go with their filter choices on the site, ordered an amsoil. car runs fine. no codes. have had it on for over a year. I cant say i have noticed any gains but also havent noticed any loss in performance. That freakin inlet elbow to the turbo it where im thinking any possible gains are being lost. it goes from a circle to a damn rectangle.

bartSS 08-18-2010 08:13 AM

It looks like the CIA piping has one less piece then the Dejon.

Gas Man 08-18-2010 08:19 AM

Silver Bullet... that looks so so nice!

I don't see the tubes and pricing on their website though.
