Getting my intake and tb ported and polished.
I am not porting the head just the intake and the tb which are off the head. I am going to blow air through the intake when i get back to make sure. I am also going to clean the vavle with some tb cleaner and a rag. If there any lose stuff i going to hook up the shop vac and vacuum it out.
Thats what I'm talking about, he advised against this. Sorry my fault shaving was the wrong word. But don't get me wrong, I'd still go ahead and clean it too. we take our chances.
Its shipped out waiting for it come back i also order a new gasket and this:

Ive made a few spacers and carb adapters from phenolic ( working with airplanes made material acqusition easier) and never had a problem..just had to watch on the race car where tons of fuel was passing thru, that the phenolic didnt get saturated, so i just used a fuel resistant sealer in the bores. Manufactured ones shouldnt have this problem, especially in this case where theres only air involved. Dont really see the need for one on the throttle body as the spacers were used to keep the heat from the fuel. The air temp is going to be the same on either side..on the intake it might help keeping block heat off the manifold but then again ambient heat ( being close proximity to block) will affect it just the same unless you 'wrap' or otherwise coat the intake, Jet Coat comes to mind.
Since its pressurized air running thru there it might not really make much a difference as it moves fast and already heated......just some thoughts
And youll have to run 2 gaskets also(EITHER SIDE) which could cause some clearence/alignment problems in tight areas..
