Hahn exhaust install/review!
Hahn exhaust install/review!
Finally got to install my full turbo-back exhaust from Hahn.
The stock setup is annoying to get off without dropping the back axle beam (hello reciprocating saw).
The system is fully bolt-on and easy as anything to install. I went with a catted downpipe, no resonator, and a muffler. It didn't get too loud, and gave it a nice deeper sound that is very refined.. no metallic sounds or rasp at all. Plus, since it is in 4 pieces (versus the stock 2), it is very easily changed later on.
It sounds great for still staying street legal. I don't believe in killing motorsports, but I try to do my part to make it decently clean.
I highly recommend this setup for anyone who isn't looking for anything too loud..its a nice bump over stock with very little drone at speed (you can hear it, versus no drone stock). Sound clips will follow shortly!

I will eventually go cat back so I'm interested in seeing/hearing audio visual clips
I have a catless dp, but I want just a little more rumble. I would try muffler delete but I think it may be too loud.
Here's the clip:

I wouldn't get rid of the muffler..that would be too much. My setup is on the borderline, but the next step would make it too loud. Right now its perfect, I think.
Bear in mind it isn't really as raspy as the camera makes it seem..its just an older digital camera.

The video sound lets you hear that sputtering noise. Replacing the resonator might clear that up.
I always liked a nice throaty but smooth exhaust sound. Not a fan of one that sounds like it's "missing" or running bad. Just my opinion.

I got the catless dp, followed by a four foot resonator. Growls nice. If you want the throaty gurgle add a resonator. I've had their exhaust quite a while now, and other then the need for a polish, it still looks and sounds great.... Although I'm kinda hooked on the fabric ripping sound of open pipes
Its really just the camera. It pops a little bit but certainly not like Orville Redenbacher as my aging digi-cam implies..
I definitely like the presence the car now has. It was unique beforehand, but now makes a bit more of a statement.
Next step: fix the dents/dings/missing paint I uncovered from this past wash... oh well.. its still a good 6-footer..
