How do I know if my SS has a turbo upgrade?

Hi this may sound like a dumb question...but I got my SS used from a dealer 3 months ago and I was just thinking how would I know if a turbo upgrade was installed? Can I tell by looking in the engine? I honestly don't know what to look for. I appriciate any help. Thanks.

Hmmm then I guess I don't. The max I've seen my boost go is 15psi. Most of the time it goes to 10psi. Thanks for the info ChevyGuySS

Also look at the gas door and it will say Premium fuel required not requested. They change the sticker with the kit, It also will have a new emissiond sticker under the hood.

Also the Map sensors come out at a 90 degree vs straight.

With the kit you should see at the lest 20 PSI to 23 in most parts of the country.

At 15 ypu sound stock.

The MAP sensors are held on by one bolt instead of two also

Tires will spin at over 30 MPG even with an automatic. You also will have a wider grin on your face.

LOL at the responses on here. The EASIEST way to tell if you have the GMTU is to look under the hood. On top of the intake manifold, just at the right corner of the airbox you'll see the upper TMAP sensor. Stock ones are all black while the upgraded sensors are Bosch and have a blue + white sticker on them. You can see the upper sensor in this shot: right at the bottom right corner of the airbox; see the blue and white sensor?

Asanti...

I notice you have the top of you air box off. I removed mine too...and MAN...that turbo sounds great when it's removed!
