How much HP does the suto have?

From what I have been reading one this site and other sites there seems to be some confusion as to how much HP the auto version actually has. So my question is how much HP does the auto have and what is your source behind your numbers?

What I have read so far is this:
Theory1: Auto has 235HP in all gears.
Theory2: Auto has 235HP in 1st and 2nd and 250HP in 3rd and 4th
Theory3: Auto has 250hp in all gears

So which one is right and what is your source to back this up? This is what it says on Chevy's website about the engine:

"Engine, , ECOTEC Turbo 2.0L DOHC 4-cylinder DI, (manual 260 hp [193.9 kW] @ 5300 rpm, 260 lb-ft of torque [351N-m] @ 2000 rpm; automatic 250 hp [186.4 kW] @ 5900 rpm, 222 lb-ft of torque [299.7 N-m] @ 1650 rpm)"

I know they are just listing the max HP and I don't know if they would list different HP ratings for different gears if that is the way it is set up.

Could a MOD please fix the title to read auto instead of suto! Thanks!

Yeah, As Far As I Know, Theory 2 Is Right. Its Down On Torque , Because The Auto Trans Is Weaker (structure -wise) Compared To The Stick, & Cant Handle As Much Power.

Theory 2 is correct per the Sales Manager looking up the tech specs for the auto.

According to GM Powertrain, number 2 is correct. Here are the specs on the A4 LNF from GM Powertrain:

look at the difference in when the HP peaks and the TQ comes on compared to the other applications!!! does this have a hidden meaning??? I am sure you could elaborate on this and make some sense out of it. I would assume that the gearing also makes a difference!!!
