Question HP Tuner and the HHR SS

I didn't even think about it until I saw a post on LS1tech about an SS Cobalt HP Tuner. I have HP Tuner for the 1998 LS1 Z28 and for a 2001 V6 Firebird. I could add the HHR to it and have it tuned. The only thing, who would do the tune? Should I just contact a professional and see if they could build the Parameters I would want or have the guy that tuned the Z28 do it. Would it be the same concept?

First you need to download the latest HP software from your account on their site. Then visit their forum for some very good info on how to do a decent tune yourself. Before tunning, download your current stock tune and save a copy in case you have to reload it.

You could also visit Adm Performance and buy their stage 1 or stage 2 tune files and use your HP Tuner suite to load it to your car.

$199 for a tune isn't bad at all. The Stage 2 wont work with mine because we only have 91 oct in AZ.

That is if you send your ecm to us.

Send your stock read and I will get you going in the right direction for $100

Andy

I've sent you a few emails concerning the stage 2 tune you offer but I haven't heard back yet. Can I purchase it without sending the ecm to you or is the tune I already got all you offer for HP Tuner people?

(BTW - I like to talk to you about the base tune you sent when you have a few minutes. I've noticed something that might be of interest to you)

Keep in touch

Call or pm me here.

Stage 2 will not work with 91 octane.

Stage 2 was developed after some extensive testing on the dyno and street. We are already working on a stage 3

Just installed the HPT with ADM's stage 2 tune last night. Makes my butt dyno all tingly. Serious tire torture for sure. This tune rocks. Thanks again Andy.
